WELCOME!
A Message from District Governor Judith L Hankom
Hello to Lions, Lionesses and Leos of 9NC!!
My name is Judy Hankom and I am proud to serve as your District Governor this year in our great district of 9NC. I am looking forward to working with you. I am excited about meeting all of you this year. District 9NC is comprised of approximately 1,500 members living in these counties: Butler, Cerro Gordo, Floyd, Franklin, Hamilton, Hancock, Hardin, Humboldt, Kossuth, Mitchell, Winnebago, Worth and Wright. We have Lions, Lioness and Leo Clubs in our thirteen counties. District 9NC is comprised of 52 Lions Clubs, 2 Lioness Clubs and 1 Leo Club. A big round of Thanks needs to be given to IPDG Gary Schriver and his partner-in-service, Elaine, for their great service to our District for the 2007-08 year. Last year was the first year for 9NC and we came through the year in fine condition thanks to PDG Gary and Elaine. Leader Dog Logan also did his part to contribute! The transition went very well and it was great to get acquainted with new Lion friends. Isn’t it great to be a Lion? The Lions Clubs International President for this year, Al Brandel, has set his theme for this year to be “Miracles through Service.” President Brandel is emphasizing service projects for this year of 2008-2009. I will be sharing more of his message in the next issue of the Iowa Lion.
